Have something like a field/zone around your computer or laptop that behaves like a trackpad or a mouse only it isn't physical. Your finger movements could be tracked.
---------- My add-on:
That zone can be a concrete and fenced area covered by infrared (focused). I propose a kind of ring close to the nail of your index finger.
The infrared based device in the PC (emitter and receiver) has to be available to follow the movement of your finger typ (really the sensitive ring) and translate it to the classic mouse behavior.
Very , very similar (but simpler) to the Wii console mechanism.
A enough emitter /receiver device can be an external USB one bigger no more than an usual pendrive with infrared LEDs lighting to the desired 'sensible' area ( aereal touchpad)
